  • 99-2002 freelancer for Daimler-Chrysler research centre Ulm
  • 2001 participated in the IPHIE masterclass for health informatics
  • 2002 masters thesis at the Surgical Planninf Laboratory, Brigham Womens Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston
  • 2003 -2007 PhD student at Surgical Robotics Laboratory, Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery – Clinical Navigation and Robotics, Berlin

In november 2006, the system that is the basis of my PhD thesis was used in the clinic for the first time. With this new system, a bone piece can be taken from the iliac crest to reconstruct a defect in the mandible.
